The Sacred Ruins

Chapter 403: Outrage

The forests outside the area of Daye Pond were destroyed. They were in a state of complete disorder and stained with blood. The six extraterrestrial warriors were all eradicated and extinguished by Chu Feng solely.

"That scared the hell out of me. That must have been a demonic god!" an immensely horrified parrot cried out once Chu Feng had gone far into the distance.

Since it had undergone mutation, it could now evolve, and naturally became a mutant bird.

Just then, it had witnessed the fight from afar. Immensely horrified, it was shivering in fear, and even now, its two legs were still trembling.

There were many other mutant species just like the parrot near Daye Pond, each with their hair standing on end. They were still shaking even when the devilish young human had left.

If the news of the fight here were to get out, it would surely cause a huge commotion. Chu Feng had, once again, demonstrated the potential of a demon king by killing the six extraterrestrials.

In the past, he had executed mutant species and suppressed the marine race. Now, he had begun to target extraterrestrials and was awfully strong. If his previous enemies were to learn of this, they would no doubt be terrified and enraged. Was there still a justice in this world?

In fact, over the past few days, Chu Feng’s "bad name" had already been widely discussed, as it was confirmed that he had killed several extraterrestrials in the fight at Mount Zhijin.

Regardless of whether or not domains were used to draw out the burning extreme yang essence flames, Chu Feng did after all successfully slaughter the descenders. This was the undeniable truth.

People were stunned—could he be any more brutal?

Members of the corporations were quiet but were cursing deep down within their hearts.

The mutant creatures that had once opposed Chu Feng in the past were fearful and apprehensive. Some then could not help but swear, "F*ck, he’s become increasingly brutal!"

In the past, Chu Feng had been known as the Demon King because he was simply a professional in killing the beast race. Then, he had attacked the clans in the sea. Only when he was corroded by the dark substance and became crippled himself was the name Demon King rarely mentioned.

Now it seemed that his time in hibernation and quietude was by no means for self-cultivation, but was instead to devise an even greater "barbarity".

After the battle in Jiangning, people everywhere were discussing it. This was clearly the "glorious" return of Demon King Chu.

The people of Origin Magnetic Immortal Cave, including Princess Lin and others, looked towards each other in dismay. After numerous confirmations of what had happened, they were incredibly uneasy. How could the magnificent descenders let someone wipe out an entire team?

Their expressions were very agitated because, although they did not belong to the same faction, they were all from the outer realms.

In addition, on the trip to Mount Qinling, they had treated Chu Feng with disdain. Yet now, it was evident they had completely underestimated this person. It was not the first time he had murdered extraterrestrials, and he had succeeded every time. This clearly illustrated the issue here.

Princess Lin was in a bout of guilty conscience. She had previously made a bet with Chu Feng and lost herself. Things might not be so calm if they were to meet again since, after all, Chu Feng was incredibly strong now!

Of course, there were some in Origin Magnetic Immortal Cave who believed that Chu Feng would face not so good consequences after being so brutal.

"He’s too extreme. He will easily be eyed upon acting like this and become a thorn to some descenders. He will surely face severe consequences."

"There are two outcomes for him. One, to be killed by a descender stronger than himself. The other is to depend on the fairies, saints, and others who are coming to this world soon, and become their follower or even a servant!"

In some people’s point of view, creatures from other galaxies would constantly be descending upon Earth. Natives of Earth would hardly be able to make a stand and fight. There was little hope.

The natives who were more brilliant and exceptional would die faster when the time came. The most reliable method to change their fate was to serve the divine sons and empresses descending from the outer realms.

In fact, during the last few days, clues of his actions and whereabouts had already been revealed!

Great danger had already emerged upon Mount Lao while Chu Feng was still at the qilin’s lair.

Mu Qinghe had repeatedly stated that action should be taken and took the initiative in hunting down Chu Feng. He could not allow Chu Feng to become accomplished as his domain attainments were rising too quickly.

"At the moment, he can utilize the topography of Mount Zhijin to murder Han Wenze, Huang Weiyue etc. Therefore in the future, he can take advantage of famous mountains and great rivers in various regions to ambush the Prince as well as others."

He believed that, given Chu Feng’s personality, it would be difficult to make him yield. He was too untamed, and directly killing him would simplify matters.

Mu Qing smiled meekly after she heard the news. She was very calm and collected. "Have you not heard of how to train an eagle? Or the secret ways of raising great dogs? Is it not more entertaining to tame him slowly? He has mastered the domains, therefore he is just right to serve the prince."

Of course, she also believed they should immediately seize Chu Feng—they could not let him roam free outside.

However, over the past few days, there was no news of Chu Feng. She kept watch on Mount Lu, calmly waiting for him to drop in and walk right into her trap. But, it seemed as though she had already failed.

Mu Qinghe returned to the previous matter and asked Mu Qing to vigorously attack and bring down Kunlun, eliminate the old grandmaster of Wudang, etc. In turn, this would compel Chu Feng to appear, at which time he could be captured in one go.

Mu Qing muttered to herself and finally decided to exit Mount Lu.

"I must take action. However, I cannot do as you say. The prince has yet to cross the border to come here. If I did things like that, it would catch everyone’s attention. The gains do not make up for the losses."

She stopped talking and shot a glance towards Mu Qinghe, signaling him to keep a low-profile. This time, there were prodigies coming from every galaxy, and it was considered a glorious, splendid occasion.

"The goddesses and dao children coming to Earth will definitely be very strong. Originating from a different world of stars, I dare not say even our prince will exceed each and every one of them if he were to meet them."

Mu Qinghe was moved after hearing such of words. Could there be so many experts?

Soon after, Mu Qinghe suggested they should take the advantage and occupy Kunlun now. Or they could seize the grounds of the ancestral Taoist mountain, but this idea was also dismissed.

Mu Qing started to talk calmly, "Who would dare occupy such a place as Kunlun? There would be no favorable consequences, and it simply cannot be defended. Then, once this mountain is completely recovered, peaches of immortality and sacred trees will appear, and it will certainly cause commotion within the whole realm! Who knows how many are watching? There are some saints and fairies whose power will exceed your imagination!

"Our prince is very strong, but there is no need to occupy the world’s most divine mountain. We should leave it for someone else.

"Sometimes the fourth place is even better than top three. Perhaps, we should give even more up. Eighth or ninth isn’t so bad either."

With that, she set off down the mountain. Indeed it was to compel Chu Feng to show up. She had her mind set to seize him!

However, Mu Qing did not clamor so the whole world would know. Instead, she demonstrated her methods gently and with a low-profile.

For her first stop, she went to Mount Taihang and arrived at the town of Qingyang. She traveled to Uncle Liu’s grocery store and Grandpa Zhao’s weaponry workshop, meeting with the two people, as well as some others.

She did not strike then—she only said she appreciated Chu Feng a lot, yet was unable to find him, hence why she came here to take a look. Her demeanor was extremely amiable.

Grandpa Zhao had previously gifted Chu Feng the Thunderous Bow, and Uncle Liu was also very kind to Chu Feng. Because of this, Chu Feng especially returned here several times. Apart from visiting them, he also gifted them mutant fruits. Now, the two were both mutants.

They were both suspicious. This girl was very pretty—a classical beauty like the daughter of an aristocrat, or a noble house. Yet they had never seen her or heard Chu Feng mention her before.

Finally, Mu Qing bid farewell to those in the town. She was constantly kind and good-natured and smiled as she left.

Uncle Liu and Grandpa Zhao contacted Chu Feng immediately, wanting to let him know someone was looking for him. Yet in the end, they could not reach him.

This was because, at that time, Chu Feng was at the qilin’s former lair, and his communication devices had no signal.

Only the next day, after Chu Feng stopped to kill the six extraterrestrial experts who had previously wanted to kill him did he see the messages.

"A mysterious woman was searching for me?" He immediately contacted Uncle Liu and Grandpa Zhao.

"She said she appreciated you greatly, and she was very pretty, smiling from beginning to end. Is she your new-found girlfriend?" asked Uncle Liu cheerfully.

Chu Feng listened with apprehensive thoughts in his mind.

"She said she is currently living in Mount Lu, but it’s not that Lin Naoi from Deity Biomedicals. I have not seen her before in the past," added Grandpa Zhao.

They had become mutants long ago and had also been closely following matters related to the field of evolution. They knew of Chu Feng’s relationship with Deity Biomedicals, as well as with Lin Naoi.

"The dynasty of evolved beings!"

Chu Feng’s eyes showed glimmers of chill. He had guessed the origin of the other party. Was this to threaten him?

No bloody actions are taken. Was this a very gentle warning?

Although Chu Feng had obtained very little information from Han Wenze, Huang Weiyue, and the others during their fight at Mount Zhijin in Jiangning, he still knew of that woman on Mount Lu.

This was because, before their deaths, those extraterrestrial creatures had told him some of the state of affairs because they wished he would throw his life away by going to Mount Lu.

Soon afterwards, Chu Feng also saw other messages on his communicator. There was news of great demons from the Kunlun Mountain ranges.

There was a crisis on Kunlun!

The Snow Leopard King informed him that a woman had climbed up Mount Kunlun this morning and had challenged them in a low-key manner.

In the end, the Old Llama was sent flying while coughing up fresh blood after she gave him some "pointers". She had also captured the Mastiff King alive and had taken him away.

"She’s taken action?!" Chu feng contacted the great demons at Mount Kunlun and learnt of the situation in detail, causing his complexion to become gloomy.

Was this to progressively push him on and force him to appear?

"She said she wanted to find you, and so the Mastiff King inquired about her identity. This she did not like. The Mastiff King was forced into his true form with a candid slap ."

The Snow Leopard King was extremely angry as he said this. That was because the woman had said the Mastiff King was in good condition and he would be better off following her.

Good condition? Was he to become her battle pet?

The capture of the Mastiff King wasn’t a glorious matter, and thus, the great demons of Mount Kunlun did not disclose it to others. Instead, they brainstormed privately on how to rescue him. Therefore, the people did not know about the matter.

"This woman is so reserved! This is to push me to seek her out!" A chill emerged from his eyes as he put down the communicator.

Taking big strides, he left Shandong.

Immediately, the great demons of Mount Kunlun informed him of the latest situation—the group was incredibly infuriated and sent several pictures.

In the pictures, there was a beautiful woman with a fair, delicate face, her attitude was laid-back and slightly languid. She was wearing a pair of sunglasses and holding a small black-furred dog while she was shopping.

The little dog was struggling, yet was unable to resist.

Chu Feng took a single glance and immediately erupted with surging fury. He was even more infuriated than the group of great demons at Mount Kunlun.

To one’s surprise, that was the Mastiff King. Not only was his original form revealed, he was being suppressed by inexplicable means. His body was only less than half a meter long, and his shape resembled that of a pet dog.

He was a magnificent and almost invincible expert of the generation who could move unhindered throughout the Tibetan Region. He was also one of the East’s bravest and most famous experts. Yet, he was actually being treated in such a way.

Chu Feng was brimming with murderous intent. He had very strong friendship with the great demons of Mount Kunlun, and his relationship with the Mastiff King was even better. When Chu Feng had fallen into dire straits, the great demons at Mount Kunlun had supported him. And now, the Mastiff King was being treated in such a way so as to force him to show himself.

"This maid dares to be so tyrannical. You are simply courting death!" raged Chu Feng, his eyes flaming. He rarely had times where he was so emotional.

The Snow Leopard King and the others informed Chu Feng that this photo was taken not long ago by one of the bird kings in Jiangning. That woman clearly noticed, but only gave a slight smile and did not prohibit it.

"Absolutely unbridled!" Chu Feng said coldly.

This woman did not want to conquer famous mountains on Earth, nor did she want to draw global attention. Yet she wasn’t mild at all while targeting him in private. She slowly escalated and was taking action within a small circle in a high-profile manner.

"Weren’t you searching for me? I will take the initiative and drop in, and then I will no doubt kill you! And that nonsense prince trailing behind you wants to cross over? You will all be completely annihilated!"

Great waves rose and fell within Chu Feng’s heart. Rarely was he ever intensely emotional like this.
